Event description

Description

The Victorians invented a lot of our ‘traditional’ Christmas festivities, but what’s your idea of a Victorian Christmas? Halls decked with holly, carols around candle-lit trees? Or maybe Scrooge’s poor clerk Bob Cratchit and his family’s meagre lot? In fact, plenty and poverty could be found together in the 19th century City, at that time the wealthiest in the world. Our seasonal walk will reveal this history.

Led by John Finn, City Highlights.

*Meet St Paul’s underground station, at street level exit to the Museum of London.
