Event Information
About this Event
This is an unusual opportunity to hear the tales of some of the most fascinating and inspirational people in history who are buried at Highgate Cemetery. In a series of online short talks given by our own experienced volunteer guides, you will learn about the lives of these people, their remarkable achievements and their deaths.
The programme is as follows:
Eleanor Marx: Socialist campaigner, author, trade unionist and feminist. A talk by John Shepperd
Adam Worth: How an American Civil War veteran became the 'Napoleon of Crime'. A talk by Ben Nathan
John Atcheler: Horse Slaughterer to Queen Victoria. A talk by Stuart Orr
As this is our first online event series, these talks are not free but we ask for a minimum donation of £1.
You will receive the zoom invitation by email prior to the event.
