Event description

Description

We are pleased to announce that the Friends of St Matthew’s have been invited to a private view at Tate Britain, curated by Tate library and archive staff and researchers.

This ‘Show and Tell’ session forms part of a programme of events where Gallery staff showcase recently catalogued collections, items relating to Tate’s current exhibition and displays, and collections that represent a particular theme or idea.

On Friday 4 November the private view will be on the theme of the River Thames and will take place in the Hyman Kreitman Reading Rooms. The visit will also include a ‘behind the scenes’ tour of the library and archive stores, which are not usually open to the public.

Places are limited so please register early to avoid disappointment.

The group will assemble at St Matthew's Westminster at 3pm, for the 15 minute walk to Tate Britain. The talk will begin at 3.30pm. If you prefer to meet there, please let us know when you make your booking. The visit will finish at approximately 5pm and will be followed by a drinks reception at St Matthew's.
