A Walk in the Park is a programme of easily accessible walks for all ages running monthly in Luton (every first Wednesday of the month). A Walk in the Park provides an opportunity to:
- Boost your health and well-being whilst taking a short walk around a natural space and practice some mindfulness in nature.
- Explore green spaces in Luton.
- Meet like-minded people and make new friends.
Learn about the natural world and opportunity to share your own knowledge or experiences.The aim of the programme is to encourage exploration of scenic parks and green spaces right on your doorstep, at the heart of Luton.The walks will be led by staff of Wildlife Trust Bedfordshire and volunteers.We will meet at Wardown park to walk along river Lea taking in views of Stockingstone Meadow, Bide A While, recently built path by Barnfield college before turning around to walk back to our starting point. All ages welcome! Please dress for the outdoors, including suitable footwear for soft paths.
The accessibility for this walk can be limited due to uneven/ narrow paths though the fields and woods. Please get in touch if you have any mobility concerns or questions about the walk.
We will meet by Wardown House Museum and Gallery (Old Bedford Road, Luton, LU2 7HA) for 2.00 PM start, and return to initial meeting point for 3.30 PM.

*Please note, this is a free well-being walk. Please only reserve a place if you intend on joining the walk as these walks are very popular and there are limited spaces available.
