Description

A walk with Manchester's women

Walking Tour

Thursday 26 April, 6pm to 7.30pm

Tickets £4

Join local guide and researcher Anne Beswick for a walk through the streets of Manchester.

Manchester is well known for its history of inspiring women, including Emmeline Pankhurst - a figurehead in the fight for women's suffrage nearly a century ago.

Starting at CFCCA, this walk through the streets of Manchester will explore the places where women's voices have emerged over the years, reflecting on both the history and the modern outlook of the city. The walk will cover just over a mile at a gentle stroll with stopping points. This walk is fully accessible.

Book your place to avoid disappointment.

This walk coincides with our Thursday Late, where we open our galleries until 8pm on the last Thursday of the month. Following the walk - at 7.30pm to 7.45pm, there will be a FREE live musical performance from MA Music students at University of Salford. The music performed has been written especially in response to our current exhibition NOW: A dialogue on female Chinese contemporary artists. No booking is required for this.
