A walkthrough of Measuring Up! for small charities

This session has been designed to take small organisations through Measuring Up!, a diagnostic toolkit that allows you to review and improve your organisation’s impact practice – that is, the way you plan, evidence, communicate and learn from the difference that your work makes.

The workshop will talk attendees through the toolkit so that you can assess your own impact practice and there will also be the opportunity to go through the entire self-assessment with the trainer and other peers and ask any questions you may have.

By the end of the workshop attendees will:

  • Be more aware of how your organisation is doing in terms of its impact practice.
  • Be more confident to take Measuring Up! back to your own organisation.
  • Have improved your knowledge of impact measurement.


Please Note: The Measuring Up! guide Has been designed for organisations with a turnover between £0- £100k or those new to impact practice.

Trainer Bio:
Sarah Menzies, a consultant with NCVO Charities Evaluation Services and a project lead in the Inspiring Impact programme.

She is an experienced trainer who has been working with small charities for 15 years. She has worked for two different network organisations, one in Scotland and one in London working with many different types of charities and social enterprises. She now specialises in evaluation and impact.

The trainer has asked where posisble, if attendees could bring a laptop. If you are unable to, printed versions of Measuring Up! will be available.

You must be a member of Small Charities Coalition in order to attend this workshop. If you aren't already you can register for free here.

If the places have all been filled please do add your details to the waitlist and we will let you know as soon as a place becomes available.

Cancellations and Refunds:
If you cancel your place at least 2 full working days before the event takes place then you are entitled to a full refund by request. Refunds for cancellations after this point are given at the discretion of Small Charities Coalition.
If you cannot make a workshop please advise us as soon as possible. Workshops normally have a waitlist and if you notify us early enough then there's a good chance another charity can attend in your place.
