Event description

Description

An introduction to famous women and men immortalised in statues, street names or former residences in this grandest of neighbourhoods - all timed to include an opportunity to enjoy the spectacle of hundreds of judges in their finest robes attending their annual service in Westminster Abbey.

From war-time leaders to one-time somebodies, Suffragettes (and soon, Suffragists) to statesmen, kings to King (Martin Luther), Westminster is full of fascinating stories. Come along and meet the people whose lives made a difference to the world we live in today.

After the walk, there will be an option to stay on for lunch in a local restaurant inside 'Queen Anne's Footstool', the famous church of St John's, Smith Square.

From Burghers to 'burgers, you might say, although the fare on offer in the Footstool is rather grander.

NB - we will not be going inside the Abbey - the Judges' Service is private - but we'll get a good view outside.

Meeting point will be confirmed after you have booked.
