A' Wassailing!
Overview
We recreate the wonderful Christmas tradition of Wassailing, on the sites it was once celebrated by the Kings of England. Bring family and Yuletide visitors for a special holiday experience of mixing the Pagan and Christian traditions while sharing the Wassail bowl filled with hot lambswool. Waking the apple trees with bells and bygone chants where the Royal Palace orchards once stood.
We’ll walk the ancient streets of Geddington, singing Christmas carols and be rewarded with figgy puddings.
Starting at the north end of Wood Street before ending at the Eleanor Cross.
All children must be accompanied by an adult.
Depending on the weather, some of the walk may be muddy. Please wear suitable footware and rainwear if the weather's poor. Do bring a torch. Everything else will be provided.
We will be a'wassailing each weekend from mid-December into January but if you have a group of 6 or more we will gladly book a date and time at your convenience. Email your request or any questions to toursbykam@gmail.com or check out our webpage at www.kamtours.com
