Event Details


A Week in Nigeria Project encourages Nigerians living abroad and friends of Nigeria of all ages to visit Nigeria annually for a week.

The Trip To Nigeria - Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival 
Day 2: Deployment
Day 3: Project activities Day 1
Day 4: Project activities Day 2
Day 5: Diaspora Day Conference Day 1
Day 6: Diaspora Day Conference Day 2
Day 7: Joint community service and Dinner/Gala night
Day 8: Departure

1. Children aged 12 to 15 (Free depending on eligibility and available funds)
2. Adults (Discounted depending on eligibility, means and the availability of funds)

• After the trip, participants become ambassadors of NIDO giving them continuity. 

Led by Nigerians in Diaspora Organisation (NIDO), which is a registered not-for-profit organisation and part of a global Nigerian Diaspora Network. NIDO is facilitated by the Federal Government of Nigeria to represent the interests of all Nigerians in the Diaspora.

• We foster youths development and empowerment;
• We create opportunities for Nigerians to better themselves;
• We bring Nigerians in Diaspora together; and
• We harness the potentials of Nigerians in Diaspora towards homeland development.

NIDO has an elected Executive Committee, who are fit, proper and accomplished individuals drawn from its membership and representing diverse professions.

Nigerians in Diaspora Organisation UKS

Nigerians in Diaspora Organisation (NIDO) is the global Nigerian Diaspora network. Established in the year 2000 by His Excellency President Olusegun Obasanjo with the aim of harnessing the potentials of Nigerians in Diaspora for homeland development.

Membership of the organisation is open to all adult Nigerians in Diaspora while corporate membership is open to businesses and not-for-profit organisations with interest in Nigeria.

The organisation has many chapters. We are proudly NIDO UK SOUTH Chapter.
