Event description

Description

From the team who brought you ‘performance bonfire’ in 2016 and ‘what matters to me - perspectives on performance’ in 2017 comes the latest instalment in the performance trilogy.

Our idea has caught fire with fellow fire-starters, Newcastle University’s Centre for Knowledge, Innovation, Technology and Enterprise! We will all come together in February to hold two half day events (on the same day) dedicated to performance.

The first, ‘Impact Heresy’ will examine and seek to understand what happens when we use “impact” or “outcomes” for performance management. The second event ‘A Whole New World’’ will focus on elements such as motivation, letting go of control, creating learning environments and building the health of the system. Both will have detailed discussions and feature examples from across.

We will be running two sessions on the day. You are welcome to attend one or both is you wish:

This event is free, open to anyone working across public service who has an interest in exploring performance. Come to this event if you want to be part of a community of practice for people who want to talk with each other about how to work better in complex environments. Hear some ideas about how to embrace the complexity of the work by trusting frontline staff and citizens, creating learning environments, and nurturing healthy systems.

If you plan to attend both Exploring Performance sessions, please follow this link to book onto Impact Heresy - https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/impact-heresy-exploring-performance-part-1-tickets-38398895129
