Description

A World Gone Mad: Buddhist Solutions for Conflict with Prayers for World Peace

Led by Resident Teacher & Buddhist Monk, Gen Kelsang Gomchen

With the word in turmoil, this free event provides a welcomed opportunity to conclude the year with prayers for peace to pervade the whole world. Gen Gomchen will explain how by cultivating peace within our heart we can create the causes for peace in this world and share practical things we an do on a day to day basis to create harmony within our close circle.

The session begins with a guided meditation and a talk followed by group chanted prayers for world peace. The prayers are in English and are based on translations of beautiful verses of ancient Buddhist poetry that will inspire and uplift the mind. You can join in if you wish or simply relax and listen. Everyone is welcome, regardless of background or belief.

After the prayers, you are welcome to join the community of Kadampa Meditation Centre London for a bring and share vegetarian buffet.
