Event description

Description

A 3.5 hr journey into YIN with a GONG bath to take you into a deep, transcendent meditation - reduce stress, enjoy deep peacefulness and enter into blissful relaxation.

Following the Spring Equinox (20th March), this is a time for renewal and growth, as we connect nature with nature and transition into Spring.

The YIN energy of wood, the Chinese element for Spring, is symbolized by the flexible bamboo that gently bends with the wind, strong but flexible and adaptable to changing conditions. #nothingispermanent

We will be nourishing this wood energy by practicing yin yoga postures to stimulate the liver and gallbladder meridians (the organs associated with this element) so expect lots of deep inner leg and side body stretches.

Following a beautiful relaxation, Graham & Ondray (http://www.ondray.co.uk/gong-baths/) will bathe us in a sound healing experience with the Gongs, relaxing, healing and balancing for the mental, emotional and energetic bodies.

This is a 'must-try' so there are a limited number of 'GONG ONLY' tickets if you would prefer not to join the YIN class or you are limited on time.

A wonderful opportunity to spend quality time with YOU, bringing balance and wellbeing to your inner self ready for the new season.

What to expect?
* 10 mins Introduction to Yin yoga
* 20-30 mins Grounding with breathwork and meditation
* 80-90 mins Yin yoga postures (all floor-based held between 3-5 mins and relaxation in between)
* 60 mins Sound Healing - Gong Bath

More info on the Wood Element :
When imbalanced the emotion associated with the liver, gallbladder (wood) energy is anger, tension, criticism, discouragement, regret, excitement, dislike of self/others and negative judgment.

Everyone is welcome, suitable for all levels and wear comfortable warm clothing as this isn't a dynamic practice.

Please arrive 15 mins before the session start time.

Mats, bolsters and blankets will be provided although please feel free to bring your own if you prefer and I would recommend an EYE MASK for the Gong Bath as it will still be daylight.
