Description

A2:Connect will be hosting an Artists in Schools Fair and Network Meeting on 5 April 2017 to bring together artists and professionals working in schools in the Central South area of Wales. Teachers, creative agents, arts development officers, artists and any other arts education professionals are welcome to attend as delegates - attendance is free.

The event is made up of a number of elements:

  • Artists Fair - artists and arts organisations will showcase their work in a Trade Fair environment, and will be available for informal discussion

  • Artists Showcase Workshops with young people in the school, which delegates can request to observe (the number of observers will be limited)

  • Regional Network Meeting, speakers and discussion

The event is intended to build connections between artists and arts education professionals working with artists, to showcase artists that are available to work in schools and create a chance to chat, plan and exchange ideas.

Delegates can choose to attend part or all of the event. Approximate timings will be:

1pm - 5pm: Workshops in the school (Places to observe these are strictly limited and must be agreed in advance)

3pm - 6.30pm: Artists Fair

5pm - 6.30pm: Regional Network Meeting and speakers

Attendees will include Community Music Wales, Shakespeare in Schools, WNO, Literature Wales, Craftmakers Guild, Citrus Arts, Taking Flight Theatre Company, Visible Music, CISP, Rubicon Dance, National Dance Company Wales, trac-Music Traditions Wales, Rhod Arts, Ffotogallery, as well as individual artists and Creative Agents.

Speakers will be announced very soon.

Booking is essential - Please check the box in the order form for each part of the event which you are interested in attending.

NB: Artists Showcase Workshops will be an opportunity to see the artists at work in the classroom, places for this section are limited and we will follow up with you directly if you want to book a place to observe.

Bydd A2:Clymu yn llywyddu Ffair Artistiaid a Chyfarfod Rhwydwaith ar 5 Ebrill 2017 i ddwyn ynghyd artistiaid a phobol broffesiynol sy’n gweithio mewn ysgolion yn ardal Ganol De Cymru. Carem annog athrawon, asiantiaid creadigol, swyddogion datblygu’r celfyddydau, artistiaid ac unrhyw bobol broffesiynol yn y celfyddydau i’w mynychu.

Mae’r digwyddiad yn cynnwys nifer o elfennau:

Ffair Artistiaid - bydd artistiaid a chyrff yn y celfyddydau’n rhoi stondin i’w gwaith mewn amgylchfyd Ffair Fasnach, a byddant ar gael i gael trafodaeth anffurfiol.

Gweithdai Stondin Artistiaid yn yr ysgol, y caiff dirprwyon ofyn am gael eu gwylio (cyfyngir ar y nifer o wylwyr yn briodol oddi mewn i’r diwrnod ysgol)

Cyfarfod Rhwydwaith Rhanbarthol, fforwm a thrafodaeth

Bwriad y digwyddiad ydi meithrin cysylltiadau rhwng artistiaid a phobol broffesiynol ym maes addysg y celfyddydau sy’n cyflogi artistiaid, rhoi stondin i artistiaid sydd ar gael i weithio mewn ysgolion a hyrwyddo trafod.

Caiff y mynychwyr ddewis ddod i’r digwyddiad ar ei hyd neu ran ohono. Yn nes at y digwyddiad darparir rhaglen fanwl o weithdai sydd ar gael i’w gwylio, ond dyma fydd yr oriau’n fras:

1pm - 5pm: Gweithdai yn yr ysgol (Nifer benodol o lefydd sydd yna i wylio’r rhain a rhaid eu cytuno ymlaen llaw)

3pm - 6.30pm: Ffair Artistiaid

5pm - 6.30pm: Cyfarfod Rhwydwaith Rhanbarthol
