Teaching you tools for your own self-care and anterior Abdominal Therapy for your clients. Based upon the teachings of Rosita Arvigo.

About this event

This engaging class teaches you the vital knowledge and tools to confidently perform your own self-care abdominal treatment, as well as how to share and provide anterior Abdominal Therapy to your clients.

The focus of this class is on the anterior portion of Abdominal Therapy, based upon the work of Dr. Rosita Arvigo.

A combination of online and in-person training:

  • Online introduction: 4 June, 10am-2pm.
  • In-person workshop: 11-13 June, 9am-5.30pm.
  • Online Mentoring: 18 June, 10am-2pm.

Total class fee £800.

£100 deposit required to secure your place.

A combination of online and in-person training will afford you time in your own home to fully embody this work on a personal level, before attending in-person professional Abdominal Therapy training.

Initially, you'll attend an online class, and be taught the Abdominal Therapy Collective’s unique Your Abdominal Massage (YAM) for your personal continuing health improvement.

Then, you'll attend a 3-day in-person class where you'll be taught and experience anterior Abdominal Therapy techniques, and shown how to offer this work to your clients.

Finally, a mentoring session is available a week after the in-person training.

Your £800 investment consists of:

  1. An introductory 4-hour live online class, 4 June: Conducted via Zoom, you'll be introduced to this work and learn how to perform Abdominal Therapy for yourself.
  2. 3-day in-person class, 11-13 June: You'll learn the practical applications of anterior Abdominal Therapy and have plenty of time to share and practice. You'll leave the weekend training fully qualified and able to offer your clients a comprehensive anterior Abdominal Therapy treatment.
  3. A 4-hour mentoring online class, 18 June: One week later, this mentoring opportunity is offered to discuss any questions which may have arisen after leaving class.
  4. Membership to the Abdominal Therapy Collective (ATC): Your first-year membership includes - a full listing on the ATC website 'Find a Practitioner' page, free access to webinars, and extensive marketing and supportive therapeutic resources.

Abdominal Therapy offers a uniquely integrative approach to abdominal and pelvic health. You'll become part of a thriving, supportive, global, community of Abdominal Therapy professionals via The Abdominal Therapy Collective (ATC).

You'll learn:

  • The history and lineage of the Abdominal Therapy Collective, Inc. (ATC).
  • How to perform Your Abdominal Massage (YAM).
  • Common signs and symptoms of pelvic and abdominal conditions.
  • How to perform anterior Abdominal Therapy on your clients.
  • The importance of emotions on physical function and simple ways to support the emotional body.
  • How to complete ATC's unique Your Health Story consultation form.
  • How to apply supportive techniques for specific abdominal and pelvic conditions, known as ATC's Complementary Care Kit.
  • How to teach your client YAM and other supportive healing techniques.
  • How the ATC can support you personally and grow your business.

Included in your £800 class fee:

  • A detailed course manual in both electronic and printed format.
  • Your first year of membership with The Abdominal Therapy Collective, Inc. (ATC) is worth $100 USD.
  • Full access to extensive educational resources via the members' section of the ATC’s website.
  • Listing on the ATC's ‘Find a Practitioner’ webpage.
  • Access to ATC Community Facebook page for peer support.
  • Free or discounted access to ATC online and in-person events.
  • Free mentorship and ongoing professional support.
  • Access to ATC’s clinical advisory panel.
  • Access to attend ATP2, posterior training in Abdominal Therapy for professionals.

This class is open to professional therapists who hold a qualification in anatomy and physiology and can perform massage within the legal requirements of their country.

The total class fee is £800 UK Pounds.

A £100 deposit is required to secure your space via Eventbrite.

The remainder is required 3 weeks before the start of the first day of training. This is to be paid directly to Louise.

In the event of cancellation due to Covid, a full refund will be provided.

Accommodation is not included in the fee for this class. Airbnb and local hotels offer a variety of accommodation nearby.

We will be following COVID guidelines from the WHO and UKGOV that are in effect at the time of this course. Social distancing measures will be adhered to resulting in a maximum of 8 students being able to attend.

Organiser of Abdominal Therapy For Professionals: Part One

Louise Crockart is an educator and therapist with over 20 years experience in Abdominal Therapy, Aromatherapy and Reflexology. She brings creativity and passion into her workshops, for those seeking a deeper understanding and healing of digestive and pelvic issues, and trains professional therapists in the art of Abdominal Therapy.

Louise is proud to be one of the founders of The Abdominal Therapy Collective, Inc.(ATC) an international cooperative of Abdominal Therapists dedicated to bringing healing of the physical and emotional body through Abdominal Therapy. Founded by 18 Abdominal Therapists, including Dr. Rosita Arvigo, in 2020, in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. ATC has created a new model for a healing collective with equity principles at its core. Its aim is to bring the principles of abdominal healing to as many bellies and communities as possible, with educators and practitioners within easy reach of anyone needing this healing work.
