Description

OPITO UKCS Workforce Dynamics: The Skills Landscape, 2019 – 2025

Oil and gas skills requirements are changing at a rapid pace. Digitisation, internationalisation and the transition to a lower carbon future require re-skilling opportunities to be created and new roles to be defined.

Following on from the UKCS Workforce Dynamics Review which was published in May last year, OPITO commissioned RGU’s Oil & Gas Institute to produce a follow-on report to further define the sector’s requirements up to 2025. Action to develop skills is required now to support industry’s Vision 2035 and the wider energy diversification ambition.

The Skills Landscape report provides context for employers, governments, agencies, universities, vocational institutes and training providers to develop the necessary skills and capabilities to support the sector going forward, and will outline a number of actions needed to prepare the workforce for the future. Oil & Gas UK is delighted to be working with OPITO to launch this vital report at our next Business Breakfast.

Event chaired by Deirdre Michie, Chief Executive, Oil & Gas UK.
