This is for professionals who may work with young womxn affected by these issues, or have experience in working with vulnerable adolescents. We aim to show how to identify risk and work effectively with young womxn experiencing criminal exploitation across county lines, whilst exploring solutions. We shall also, explore the various roles and harm that young womxn can experience.

Abianda works to put the needs of young women first and value her knowledge as an expert on her own experiences and life.

By inviting young women to participate in their support and to tell us what they need, we achieve a 70% engagement rate with some of the hardest to reach young women. We are able to offer consultations to service professionals on using a gendered, participatory and strengths based approach to support and work alongside vulnerable young women.

Consultations will be delivered through a framework of Contextual Safeguarding and may include:

➔ Information about Abianda’s approach to working with young women

➔ Support on different ways to engage with young women - using strengths and participatory based techniques

➔ Support to consider the language we use to speak with and engage young women

➔ Support on thinking about practical steps you take in order for young women to be active partners in safeguarding and efforts to keep them safe

➔ Guided consideration of the different contexts that young women navigate, the associated risks and the opportunities to increase protective factors in these environments.

➔ Support on how to identify risk and harm to a young person with County Line activity

➔ Specialist support on how to work holistically with a strengths-based and solution focused approach with your young person

Criteria:

The Young Person must be;

1. Aged up to 25. London based

Have one or more of the following indicators:

➔ Known, or suspected, involvement in county line activity

➔ Known or suspected association with others who are involved in county line activity or being coerced and controlled

➔ Known, or suspected, experiences of CSE, Sexual violence and/or coercion, control, or victimisation in the context of county line and/or gang activity

➔ Missing episodes suspected to be linked to any of the above

Booking Process:

➔ You must book your case consultation 1 week prior to your session

➔ All booking must be via email

➔ You are able to call the Gender Consultant to discuss whether your case is appropriate for the case consultation once the prerequisite questions are completed

➔ Any session time changes must be notified 24 hours prior to it taking place via email

➔ This must be a case you are actively working on

➔ The young person must meet the criteria of the R&R programme

➔ The case should only be presented if you are having difficulties progressing, engaging them, or have a risk or safeguarding concerns.
