Event description

Description

Our prostitution laws are not working. It is overwhelmingly vulnerable women selling sex who face criminal sanction, rather than the pimps and punters who exploit them.

Join this discussion at Labour Party Annual Conference on why we need to follow the lead of countries such as Sweden, Ireland and France - by criminalising paying for sex, decriminalising selling sex, and providing support services for those exploited through the sex trade.

Speakers:

Gavin Shuker MP - Chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Prostitution and the Global Sex Trade

Diane Martin CBE - campaigner and survivor of prostitution

Mia de Faoite - campaigner and survivor of prostitution

Kat Banyard - author of Pimp State

Chair: Ellie Cumbo - Chair of Camberwell and Peckham Labour Party
