ABS x Hoskins Architects - Speed Mentoring
Bring your burning questions and join us for an energetic evening of speed mentoring!
Mentoring is a beneficial tool to support, inspire and build confidence. Working in the built environment can be challenging at times, but your mentor can probably relate.
Arranged over five 10-minute sessions, you will be able to speak to industry leaders - with discussions facilitated in a fast-paced, friendly and informal way.
The event is free to attend but registration is essential as spaces are limited. Donations are welcome and all proceeds will go to the Architects Benevolent Society, a charity offering a wide range of support to those in need in the architectural community and their families.
The event will be hosted at the beautifully restored Liberty Suite, in the Category A-listed Parish Halls section of the AC Hotel by Marriot. Light refreshments will be provided.

Frequently asked questions
The ABS aims to provide a foundation of support for people in the architectural community when they need it most through various means, including financial aid, wellbeing and mental health support and specialist advice on issues such as housing, redundancy, and disability.
We will be publishing the names and bios of our mentors in the weeks leading up to the event. Keep an eye on our social media channels: @hoskins_arch @archbensoc
Mentors will be randomly assigned on the night and mentees will move around the room in a 'musical chairs' fashion. Don't worry if you don't get to chat with your desired mentor, there will be time for socialising at the beginning and end of the evening.
Yes, all conversations between mentors and mentees should remain confidential. Nothing should leave the room without express consent.
The event is aimed at early stage professionals in the built environment, but anyone who thinks they would benefit from the sessions is welcome!
It's best if you come with a problem that needs solving. Make sure your questions are specific, concise and relevant. As time is limited, cut to the chase – this is your opportunity to ask a burning question.
