Abundant Churches – Creative, Missional and Sustainable

You are invited to a life-giving day of discovery, creativity, and renewal, inspired by the Church of Scotland’s Creative Commercial Collective initiative and the HeartEdge network, the day is open to all denominations.

Rooted in the belief that God has already given us everything we need, this gathering celebrates the abundance of resources already present in our churches and communities—our people, our buildings, our stories, and our partnerships, and how that abundance can be employed to develop and grow a financially sustainable, flourishing church life. Together, we’ll explore practical tools and hopeful perspectives to support our various church contexts —whether rural or urban—as we grow in courage, compassion, and imagination.

Led by experienced practitioners from diverse contexts, this ecumenical day offers workshops, conversations, and shared reflections to help our churches flourish in daily life and mission.

Sian and Andrew Yates will share insight and wisdom of the HeartEdge movement through the lens of its “4 Cs” framework (Compassion, Commerce, Culture, Congregation). Scott Rennie will introduce the aims and offering of the Church of Scotland’s “Creative Commercial Collective”. Smaller workshops will be led by practitioners from a variety of context with experience of the spiritual and practical issues involved in developing sustainable church life, including: community partnerships, letting rooms, curating communities, young people, exploring faith and more.
