Description

New Generation Centre UK is launching a full-day cross-disciplinary conference developed to inspire and prepare the doctoral community in building their academic career as well as to provide advice and insights from professionals. The program is designed to showcase general topics including research funding and international collaboration, also to promote skills and knowledge essential to develop an academic career.

The stage between completing an MSc or PhD and finding a permanent academic job can be one of the most challenging periods of any academic career. However, despite the obstacles, careful planning and relevant knowledge are able to make the path more transparent and accessible.

It is our mission to provide an experience that prepares PhDs with relevant options and concrete examples for a career within and beyond academia. The Academic Career Conference dedicated to showcasing the breadth of career opportunities open to PhD graduates.

Apply to our Mentor program:

Besides the conference, we find it important to provide even further support to students, pursuing an academic career. Therefore, New Generation Centre UK is launching a mentor program focusing on career skills development, free of charge for Hungarians who are currently studying towards their PhDs in any discipline either in the United Kingdom, in Germany, or in Hungary, and who aim to pursue an academic career.

Our partners are internationally recognized academicians, with a wide range of diverse backgrounds, and committed to mentor those pursuing an academic career.
