Event Details

This workshop will provide you with key tips and advice to help you select and secure funding for conferences, and maximise your chances of raising your research and personal profile through conference presenting and networking.

Intended Learning Outcomes

By the end of this session you will: 
 
  • Understand the importance of pre-conference preparation including choosing the right conference and be signposted to travel funding.
  • Be able to produce a well-structured, well written research abstract.
  • Be given key tips on preparing and delivering effective posters and oral presentations.
  • Have considered the role of a good conference chair and what criteria your posters and presentation may be judged against.
  • Start to develop conference networking strategies.
