During this webinar, our team of education specialists will cover:

  • The changes from last year's Audits including Key trends, recommendations, and areas of non-compliance with the Trust Handbook.
  • Updates to the Academies Accounts Direction (preparing for external audit) and Academies Trust Handbook (key changes).

We are pleased to announce that Tim Warneford of Warneford Consulting will be joining us to present on Estate management and funding avenues which will include:

  • How to prioritise SCA funding for MATs – recommended internal bid system by schools or managed centrally through a central premises team, how bids are graded and how the results are communicated to schools.
  • How to create an estates strategy and plan and how that should be factored into your budgets .
  • Common pitfalls in estates planning which can result in overspend or emergency work.
  • Options for other funding alternatives other than DfE funding.

Also joining us will be Natasha Letchford and Sophia Zand from Wilsons Solicitors, they will be providing an update on the Employment Act and future legislation, covering the following topics:

  • Unfair dismissals.
  • Family friendly policies.
  • Sexual harassment and whistleblowing.
  • Flexible working arrangements.
  • Zero hour considerations.
