Academy Update Breakfast

Join us on Thursday 6th April 2017 for our Academy Update Breakfast at The National Space Centre, Leicester.
We will be covering a number of areas of interest, including:
- Key issues to consider when joining a MAT
- VAT refresher
- Financial systems & reporting
- Good governance & financial management
Jeff Marshall - J&G Marshall has been a Chair of Governors at a primary school for over 21 years, and has over 26 years experience in finance. Jeff has also been designated a Reviewer of Governing bodies by the National College of Teaching and Leadership and a National Leader of Governance.
Jason Croke - Haines Watts VAT Specialist has over 14 years experience of indirect tax (VAT) and a particular interest in the not-for-profit sector. He is Chairman of the VAT Practitioners Group and a member of the Institute of Indirect Taxation.
Richard Buckby - Haines Watts Associate & Audit Manager joined Haines Watts in 2012 after training and qualifying with a large independent practice, and has extensive knowledge of managing audits of all large group assignments with significant experience within the Not-for-Profit and Academy sectors.
Registration at 8.00am, with the seminar to begin at 8.30am and conclude by 10.00am. Light breakfast and refreshments will be provided. There will be plenty of opportunity for questions and make the most of the session and you can even have a wander around the Space Centre after the seminar if you so wish!
