Event description

Description

Happy New Year and welcome to your first in a series of CIPD / HR networking events for 2019.

The first CIPD event of 2019 will be held at New College, Swindon on Wednesday 6th February from 5.30pm (6pm start) where Mike Fenn from Acas South West will be presenting and open discussing the Government’s Good Work Plan (changes to employment law), the effect of fees on ET claims and conciliation as well as other topical issues.

Mike has been the Training Manager for Acas South West since April 2017. In this time Mike has continued to oversee the growth of the Acas South West Good Practice Services business attracting new customers to training events and for bespoke workplace advisory services. Prior to this he delivered training and advice across the region for the previous 7 years.

During his time with Acas Mike has worked with numerous organisations across the South West delivering practical and effective solutions to their HR issues and training requirements. He especially values the relationships that he has established, which have led to individuals having greater confidence to carry out their roles and organisations being able to engage with their staff more effectively and productively.

Mike specialises in equality and inclusion awareness and the management of discipline and grievance issues.

This event will be a mix of presentation and open forum / discussion – Mike encourages questions and debate on the subjects covered.
