Tony Cooper, Director ACAS South West will be presenting on Solving the productivity puzzle in the "4G" workplace.
As UK productivity continues to lag behind that of other G7 countries, Tony Cooper from Acas will explore whether the workplace holds the key to solving the productivity puzzle and why meeting the diverse needs of the '4G' workforce should be at the forefront of current HR thinking.
Tony became Director of Acas South West in 2011, having previously held a number of senior positions within the organisation including senior adviser for the South West, and national helpline training manager.
Tony has over twenty years experience in employment relations, working with multinational companies, SMEs, voluntary and Public Sector organisations at a strategic level - managing change, improving manager capability and increasing staff engagement - and on a practical level such as through facilitating the introduction of new policies and procedures and delivering in-company skills training.
His remit is to improve organisations and working life in the South West through better employment relations, whether that's through averting large scale industrial action, helping parties resolve individual disputes before reaching an employment tribunal, or through providing training and business solutions to organisations in the region.
Tony has a law degree, and is a member of the Institute of Training and Occupational Learning (MITOL).
