#3: Returning to the Office
GOVERNANCE - is the approach HQ led or country by country or a hybrid model?
GUIDANCE from individual country authorities on protocol for Return to Work & variances by country - examples of good & bad;
EDUCATION & AWARNESS - Pre return to work induction & how this is rolled out & monitored, posters in the office etc.;
PRIORITISATION - how do employers determine criticality & prioritisation of who returns and should employees have an equal say here while avoiding any discrimination?
[JOINT] LIABILITY- Employee self-certifications / questionnaires (undertakings? Indemnities?) & frequency - how this is rolled out & monitored - should the employer have a formal board meeting to consider the issues & resolve to approve the return to work measures?;
MEASURES - temperature checking (privacy issues?), masks optional or mandatory (cultural influence?);
SOCIAL DISTANCING - reformatting office layout, common areas (Canteen, bathrooms, smoking areas), one-way systems, change in shift structures;
LOGISTICS - public transport limitations, car-pooling, cleaning regime, third parties (e.g. couriers);
INCLUSION & AGILITY - forum for employee feedback / input, continuous monitoring to adapt to evolving circumstances & risks;
WORKING FROM HOME - ergonomic assessments, self-certification or inspection?, on-demand support (second screen / desks & chairs) or finite stipend €x per employee?
MENTAL HEALTH - what is best practice for employers to ensure employees mental health?
