Event description

Description

Arrival from 17:45

On 3 October at the Conservative Party Conference, the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce will be welcoming finance and professional services business leaders to our fringe event in the centre of Manchester to discuss the priorities for the government and new regional administrations to support small businesses to thrive, grow and internationalise in this important era for the UK economy.

The fringe event will ask: what are the financing options available for SMEs at the regional level? What support can be provided to encourage local businesses to export and to support those that do already? How can government and UK financial services provide a platform for business growth and expansion both regionally and nationally in this Parliament and beyond, and what are the challenges?

Speakers include:

  • Baroness Lucy Neville-Rolfe, Conservative Peer and former Minister at the Department for Business
  • Andrew Carter, Chief Executive, Centre for Cities
  • Richard Aitken-Davies, Past-President, ACCA Global
  • Clive Memmott, Chief Executive, Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce (tbc)

We would be delighted if you are able to join a us and a number of senior local political leaders, thinkers and businesses offering forward looking ideas and deliberation at this years’ Conservative Party conference.
