This workshop is designed to help churches engage with the ever-changing complexities of the NHS and Local Authorities in their responsibilities for health and care. It will help church leaders understand where they can contribute to the health and care of their local populations, break down the jargon and language they will encounter, and who to talk to so they can turn their ambitions into practical reality.
The workshop will be led by Dr Roger Greene with Dr Amit Sharma and Kathy Barker.
Roger Greene is a former NHS Trust Chief Executive and now Deputy CEO of the bereavement support charity AtaLoss.
Amit Sharma is a GP Partner in West Berkshire, is CEO of the Berkshire West Primary Care Alliance, and an Elder/Trustee of Carey Baptist Church in Reading.
Kathy Barker is a highly experienced Nurse who has worked in the Hospice sector and is now a Parish Nurse in Horsham.
