Enhancing Customer Experience in Rail Travel
Innovate UK and FutureRailway/RSSB will be running a third Accelerating Innovation in Rail competition which we hope will offer up to £6m of investment to accelerate innovation in the UK rail industry - this time to address business challenges in the area of customer experience.
A Shortly before the competition is expected to open, KTN will run a consortia-building event for potential applicants - to be held in Coventry University’s TechnoCentre
There is also good opportunity for networking including an opportunity to present a short "elevator pitch" to delegates (please use the 2-slide proforma, and email it to firstname.lastname@example.org. (Note, places are limited, so please make sure you submit your presentation in plenty of time).
Unique networking opportunities
Delegates are encouraged to maximise their chances of networking by filling out and returning a company profile form. This will be made available to all delgates as well as shared on the KTN website and via our @transportktn twitterfeed.
Please register to attend this event, and we will send the competition scope to all registrants as soon as it is available.
KTN consortium-building event for potential applicants
KTN, now as one networking organisation, is now not only directly connected to all significant transport sectors, but also the full diversity of wider UK industry - including, for example, leaders in built environment, creative industries, ICT and data security.
As such, this event should prove invalauble for creating new connections suited to applicants.

When & Where
Transport community at Knowledge Transfer Network
The mission of the Transport community on the Knowledge Transfer Network is to support the development of integrated, efficient and sustainable transport systems, by bringing together independent but interrelated organisations to stimulate innovation through knowledge transfer.
The KTN strategy is driven by market demand and supply-chain innovation; our work and programme priorities are set by the need for additionality, relevance, and neutrality. Winthin the transport community, we aim to break down traditional silo thinking and encourage knowledge, skills and technology exchange within the domains of Intelligent Mobility and Energy Efficiency.
We help focus TSB investment, and manage stand-alone programmes to better exploit technology to improve transport and transport infrastructure in the UK and overseas.
