For most professionals excellent performance is not enough to deliver career progress. It certainly does not protect us from “job accidents”.
The key to a successful mid-career is to refresh your view of what you want and create a strategy to get there.
In this full-day workshop Daniel Porot, one of Europe’s leading experts in career design, shows how to identify a fulfilling next step (even if opportunities for progress seem blocked), how to value and communicate your achievements and how to persuade gatekeepers and stakeholders.
The workshop covers:
At the end of the full-day workshop all participants will have an action plan for moving forward and accelerating their career. Also Daniel will spell out the typical obstacles faced and show two or more ways to work around them.
Homework and preparation
All participants at the workshop will be required to do some pre-reading and complete a personal survey. We will supply a pre-reading pack and survey details two weeks before the workshop.
Praise for Daniel Porot
Daniel co-taught with Richard N. Bolles (author of "What Color Is Your Parachute?") at Richard's annual two-week summer workshop for 20 years. This is how Richard Bolles describes Daniel’s approach:
“Each year, it is great fun for me to watch as Daniel dazzles the workshop participants with his drawing, his clever analogies, and his flashing wit. His mastery of the field is total and absolute. I know of no one in the world who is his equal.”
All participants are invited to a buffet lunch at the venue. Tea and coffee are provided. Please contact us about dietary requirements.
Venue - The Royal School of Mines
This event is hosted by Imperial College and we are delighted to be using the historic Royal School of Mines building on Prince Consort Road behind the Albert Hall. The building - considered "a classic of academic architecture" - is by Sir Aston Webb who also designed the facade to Buckingham Palace and the Victoria and Albert Musuem.
