In this Steward Role, you will
- Interact with members of the public to provide information
- Direct the public to bars, toilets & other areas on the Pride in London footprint
- Support paid security on Entrance and Exit points
- Have a general awareness of the risks and hazards of the event
- Be comfortable with busy crowds and being assertive.
- Ensure all visitors have a good, safe and fun day
Role Registration Tips:
- Only sign up for one parade route shift.
- If you are capable and interested in being a senior steward, consider signing up to that role instead of this standard steward role, preference is for those who have previously volunteered at Pride in London. (Additional training sessions available before pride)
- If you are considering applying for other roles, we suggest that you wait and make your firm decision before signing up for a role.
Note: This ticket is an expression of your interest in the role only. Pride in London reserves the right, for safety or operational reasons, to allocate you to a different role for all or part of your shift.

Tips for the day
- Sign in for your shift ahead of your shift start time (Registration location shown on ticket)
- Volunteering with friends? Want to be in the same team? Try to turn up together.
- Pack light - you will need to carry your belongings with you all day.
- Sandwich lunch, poncho, sunscreen are provided - but bring any additional items you require.
- Comfortable clothing, shoes and spare phone battery are recommended.
- ID May be required at registration to verify your identity.
