Access Pathway Feedback Session 1

About this Event

This workshop gives parent/carers the opportunity to hear about our initial findings.

North East Lincolnshire Access Pathway

The local system for identifying, supporting and assessing children with communication, cognition, learning, emotional and mental health difficulties.

At any point during a child or young person’s development, they may present with problems relating to a range of areas including speech, communication, cognition, learning ability, motor skills, behaviour, or general emotional wellbeing.

In North East Lincolnshire there are a range of services available to help identify and address these problems early on. In April 2018, the way to access these services were merged in to a single access route, called The Access Pathway, in order to make it easier to get the help needed at the right time.

Healthwatch North East Lincolnshire is working with the local NHS and Council to see how well the Access Pathway is working since it was introduced.

Between January and April 2019, Healthwatch will be hosting a number of workshops aimed at families and children to share their feedback of accessing and using services. Each workshop will look at a different stage of the pathway to see how well each part is working.

If you or a relative/cared for child/young person has accessed support for any kind of developmental, learning, emotional or behavioural issue during 2018, we are keen to hear your thoughts and experiences. You are welcome to attend one or all of the workshops.
