The main purpose of the Conference is to explore the legal and policy challenges that mutual legal assistance and cybercrime are posing in EU-USA Cooperation.

Particular attention will be paid to issues of legal competences and accountability: first, the effects of EU legal framework in criminal justice, cybercrime and privacy over relations and existing agreements with the USA; Second, the discussions taking place in the Council of Europe Cybercrime Convention Committee (T-CY).
