Description

Overview

We are exploring how digital technologies can help people with visual and hearing impairments have a better experience when they visit their GP.

If you have a hearing or visual impairment and are based in Kirklees we would value your involvement in this event.

  • Carers and support workers are welcome.

  • We aim to meet any individual accessibility requirements.

  • Refreshments and lunch will be provided.

  • BSL users welcome.

  • All levels of visual impairment welcome.

What we’ll be doing at the Workshop

  • You’ll get to try out some technology with us, and give us your views on how well it works for you and how it could work in the context of a GP practice.

  • We’ll be sharing lots of ideas about what else you could try.

  • We’d also love people to share what they are already using, or have experienced previously, in this environment, that helps them.

  • We’ll be there if you want to share your particular difficulties when visiting your GP.

Booking tickets

  • We're running both morning and afternoon sessions so make sure you slect the one which works best for you.

  • Lunch will be provided at the end of the session for those attending in the morning and the start of the session for those attending in the afternoon.

  • If you're being accompanied by someone please book a seperate ticket for them.

  • Our administrator will be in touch to confirm any individual requirements
