Event description
What lockdown has taught us about inclusion and what are the next steps Herefordshire needs to take to improve access and inclusion for all?

About this Event

Has the Covid-19 crisis and lockdown taught us anything about inclusive access for all? What tangible steps can we take over the next year to make Herefordshire's places, activities and events more accessible and inclusive for all ages?

Following the discussions and issues raised during our previous two sessions, our final online forum will take a closer look at good practice before and during lockdown, new challenges, and opportunities for action. We will feature 3 speakers and then open up to general discussion, plans and next steps. The speakers are,

Rachel Freeman, lead artist at EveryBODY Dance, will talk about how she's been delivering socially distanced inclusive dance sessions in people's gardens.

Bob Michell, Paddleability Officer, Wyedean Canoe Club will talk about accessible canoeing and kayaking, working with Allinteractive and piloting the Inclusion Award last year.

Rachel Jones, Herefordshire Council Economic Development Officer and Visit Herefordshire will talk about practical and creative ways forward.

If you would like to present a short (3-5 minute) summary of your inclusive activity or experience during lockdown, please get in touch - email Angela, Allinteractive coordinator, with details.
