Event description

Description

The next 20 months will see big changes to the way in which RD&I (Research, Development and Innovation) support is delivered in Wales and the UK. In 2018, InnovateUK and the Research Councils of the UK will merge and become UKRI and by April 2019 the UK’s departure from the EU should be complete.

What will this mean for your innovative business based here in Mid Wales?
What new opportunities are emerging?
What funding is available, and how can your business access it?

Join Chris Probert, Welsh Government Innovation Specialist, for an informed and invaluable talk to hear about how your business could benefit from the substantial R&D support available. As the first of the Mid-Wales Innovation Series of Talks, sponsored by Dulas Ltd, Chris’ presentation aims to provide business owners, manufacturers and R&D managers with key information, to enable them to thrive in this evolving business environment. Places are free but limited so please book early to avoid disappointment.

Chris’ background encompasses working on manufacturing systems and technology projects for companies such as Control Techniques, BAA and Glaxo. He later moved into the mobile phone industry taking a role as the interface between R&D and manufacturing at Panasonic Mobile Phones before progressing to Nokia. At the latter, he worked on a number of highly innovative technologies and commercially successful products. He joined the Welsh Government as an Innovation Specialist in 2013.

The talk and following Q&A will take place at Dulas Ltd.’s Headquarters in Machynlleth but will also be available to stream online. If you have any questions, please contact marketing@dulas.org.uk
