ACCoRD - A Community for Contract Regulation for Data - Launch Workshop

Join us for the official launch of ACCoRD – A Community for Contract Regulation for Data, a groundbreaking initiative to streamline and improve research data contracting across the UK.

Data contracts—formal agreements governing how research data is stored, shared, and used—are essential to the UK’s Digital Research Infrastructure (DRI). Yet, the current contracting process is often slow, complex, and inconsistent.

Project ACCoRD aims to change that by building a national framework for data contracts and a vibrant community of experts to guide its development.

This interactive workshop marks the beginning of a 12-month journey to gather evidence, share best practices, and shape the future of data contracting.

Who Should Attend

If you’re involved in research data contracting in any capacity, your voice matters. We welcome:

  • Researchers and data users
  • Legal and contracts professionals
  • University contracting teams
  • Data centre staff
  • Policy makers and infrastructure experts

By attending, you’ll help shape a more efficient and equitable data contracting system—and have the opportunity to join the ACCoRD community moving this work forward.
