Event description

Description

Many accounting firms and bookkeepers tell me that they want larger, more profitable work and clients. They want less compliance and more advisory. They want a stronger work/life balance.

Yet most of us simply end up generating more of what we already have, create capacity issues for ourselves and remain as busy as ever.

I will show you what works for over 400 accounting firms worldwide and what works for me, in advisory.

How will you and your firm be improved by attending this session?

  • Learn how the most profitiable firms think and what's required to acquire advisory work and reach your goals personally.
  • Learn how they are working less, feeling more assured, clearer in their focus and more organised in their days.
  • Learn how you will be able to make these changes a reality in your own firm from peer level examples.
  • Learn from your fellow practioners regarding the real time improvements and successes they've had and how they did it.

Who is this session the best fit for?

  • Firms frustrated with stagnant fee growth.
  • Firms hungry to grow
  • Firms who aren't getting what they want from their practice
  • Firms who care about their clients
  • Firms who believe their average fee is undervalued
  • Firms who want stronger ways to attract better staff and clients.
  • Firms looking for greater profitability

We spend our lives on doing 'more of the same' while superior accounting firms do 'more of the better'

The Background

The research delivered in this one off session is the result of Martin personally interviewing over 400 Accounting firms in North America, UK, Europe, Africa and the Middle East to understand what gives firms the competitive edge in the areas of:

  • Profitability
  • Fee Growth
  • Technology
  • Succession Planning
  • Talent Retention
  • Talent Recruitment
  • Marketing and more

Join us for what will be a strictly 'no sell' event where you're there to accelerate your firm's growth from the content on offer. You will not be asked to sign up to any programs nor buy anything on the day. Just content, resource and insight for you and your firm.

About Martin

9 time author Martin Bissett is the founder of the Upward Spiral Partnership, the U.K.-based consulting firm that specializes in the implementation of professional selling skills and leadership development for senior managers seeking to become partners in the accounting profession.

Martin has worked with several hundred accounting firms internationally to grow their gross recurring fee bases.

Martin is engaged by his clients to transfer skills to their practice, often in business development disciplines, via personal demonstration, training, consulting, coaching, mentoring and research content.

The outcome of this work is new business for the practices, alongside the fine-tuning of teams of partners and emerging leaders who can create and close new opportunities for themselves, without significant third party assistance.

Previously, Martin served 10 years as a director on the board of a marketing consultancy firm serving the accounting profession. There, he held the responsibility for the growth of the client base including six of the U.K.’s top 30 accountancy firms.

Martin now coaches, mentors, speaks, trains and consults with accounting firms worldwide and is the author of ‘Winning Your First Client’, ‘Passport to Partnership’ and ‘Business Development On A Budget’ amongst 6 other titles.

Last year Martin founded the Asp1ration Alliance which is the first online nano-learning platform for Accountants which donates part of its revenues to assist in the nutrition, education and immunisation of children in developing nations.
