Thank you for your interest in ACE dance and music classes. The proposed exercises and suggested training programmes have been put together by trained professionals at ACE dance and music. It should be noted that all dance and exercise related activity is conducted at your own risk. You should always consult your health care provider before doing any sports related activity, especially if you have injuries or underlying health conditions.
Before and when participating
It is the participants obligation to make sure they are in good physical condition to undertake the activity. Please ensure, that you make your space safe before you start the exercise, for example check that you have enough room around you and clear the dancing area as much as possible. Wear cushioned shoes when dancing on a hard floor, roll up the rug to avoid slipping, keep any wires away from the area and do not let animals disturb you while exercising. Make sure you wear comfortable clothes, take any jewellery off and take regular drink breaks. It is very important that you do not push yourself too hard, beyond your usual skill or ability level. Take time for recovery within the session and between sessions. We also advise that you familiarise yourself with injury management (PRICE) in the link below, so that you know the recommendations if you need to deal with an injury when dancing in your own home, while there may be limited access or contact with therapists. You should always consult your health care provider if you have any concerns or if you feel you may need professional help or advice.
