This session will be featuring honey with a talk from our local bee keepers. You will be able to sample a selection of honeys, join in our quiz and try different ways of cooking with honey. It's a great opportunity to meet new people and find out more about how to improve your diet and health. Everyone is welcome! We have limited places so booking is essential. Frequently asked questions

Do I need to bring anything?

No, everything will be provided at the session. We will be trying dishes we have cooked and drinks will be provided at the centre. Aprons will also be provided.

Do I need to be a good cook?

No, everyone is welcome to attend from beginner cooks to those with a bit more experience. If you haven't done one of the previous cooking courses, we will run through some basic hygiene and give you some help with how things work in the kitchen.

Do you cater for allergies and intolerances?

We will be handling allergens during the sessions. If you have any allergies or intolerances please notify the session leader, ideally prior to the session (or latest on arrival) so we can try and accommodate your needs.

Can I park at the centre?

We don't have a car park but there is usually availability on the street outside for parking.

Is the centre suitable for those with disabilities?

The centre is located up a steep driveway. However, there is access through the park next door on a paved path with a lower incline. Once in the centre all rooms are on the same level including toilets.

Are children allowed to attend?

Generally this is a club for adults. Children may be allowed in some cases if agreed with the course leader. Any children must be supervised by their parents or guardians. Please contact Caroline beforehand if you would like to check if this is possible.

Is there are charge for joining the club and coming to the events?

This club is free to join and events are part of the membership. Once you come to an event you will be added to the membership list unless you ask not to be.

Once I book on can I come to all the events?

No, each event is bookable separately on Eventbrite. Members will be notified 7 days before the next event so they can book on. There will be limited places for each event which may vary depending on what activities are running. Booking will be on a first come first basis.

How often will you be running events?

Events will be every fortnight on Mondays 11am - 1pm for 12 months initially.
