Description

This is a 2 hour workshop provided by CEL&T on behalf of ACE Network North East, that provides and Introduction to Adverse Childhood Experiences- what are they and why all the fuss? The discussion will consider research that suggests every person has an ACE score, for some this will be low whilst for others it will be higher. It is also known that the impact of ACE can have a long term effect on health and wellbeing as well as life chances and adulthood.

This workshop is suitable for anyone to attend including: parents, carers, all school staff in any role and nursery staff, neighbouring schools, professionals from any career area, voluntary staff such as leaders from clubs or organisations children and young people attend (for example-football coaches, rugby coaches, Guides, Scouts and so forth).

CPD certification is available to those attending: CEL&T are members of CPD UK and informaiton for obtaining a certificate will be provided on the evening.

PLEASE BE AWARE- as this workshop discusses how adversity in childhood from a wide range of areas affects physical and mental health in adulthood (such as heart disease and overall mental wellbeing) as well life chances we DO NOT recommend those under the age of 18 attend a public event.
