Event description

Description

ACEs Ayrshire invites you to our 2nd free event, hosted by Ayrshire College, building on our launch event in March this year, to continue to raise awareness of the overall aim; to tackle and prevent Adverse Childhood Experiences. Our next stop is North Ayrshire, where we hopes to draw together a wide range of practitioners to discuss the way forward in developing trauma informed practice in a variety of settings.

The event includes a screening of the documentary ‘Resilience’ followed by a presentation from Kathleen Winters Public Health Principal NHS Ayrshire & Arran. The documentary rating is 12A, we ask that any young person wishing to view the documentary comes along with a supporting adult.

There will follow a panel Q&A session with guest representatives from The Legal Profession, Tigers Training Providers UK, Police Scotland.

If possible all attending on the night are asked to donate to our local Food Bank, collection boxes will be available at the venue, thankyou in advance.

Please note we are expecting a high demand for tickets, which are limited, therefore we kindly ask anyone who can no longer attend to cancel their ticket to allow re-uptake.

Hospitality provided

CairnsMoir Connections specialist bookstore will be available to purchase from at the event.
