Compulsory event for new Full time research students
Skills training is a key part of all research degrees at Sheffield Hallam. The University uses a system called the RDF Planner, to help doctoral students manage their skills development through their programme of study.
This system will help you assess your training needs, plan and access development, and record evidence with a view to assembling a portfolio to support future employability.
Undertaking a skills audit using the Planner and agreeing a training plan with your supervisory team is a compulsory part of your course - these two documents will be required as part of your RF1 submission in a few months’ time.
You will receive an introductory email and a system-generated RDF Planner login before the training session.
