The ACF Initial Officer Training (IOT) Course Graduation for all those officers who have completed their IOT course.

About this Event

You are warmly invited to join us for the IOT Graduation Ceremony at The Royal Military Academy Sandhurst (RMAS) on Sunday 1st September 2019.

All ACF Officers who have completed their Confirmatory Module this weekend will take part in the graduation and are encouraged to invite a maximum of two guests join us for the ceremony followed by a buffet lunch and informal tour of RMAS afterwards.

Please ensure you take note of the following details.

1. Arrival at RMAS. (Please see attached image)

a. Guests should use the Staff College Gate entrance only (Postcode GU15 4NP) you will not be admitted through any other gate.

b. The guardroom will have a list of guests, however photo ID will be required (passport, driving licence etc).

c. You will be issued with a vehicle pass, which must be clearly displayed in your front window and individual passes which you must carry on you at all times during your visit. All passes must be handed back to the guardroom at the Staff College Gate as you depart.

2. Parking. All guests must park in the Churchill Carpark .

3. Location. The graduation takes places in the Royal Memorial Chapel (RMC). There is a 5 – 10 minute walk from the carpark to this location. IOT staff will be on hand to direct. Any student with guests who may be unable to manage this walk should contact Captain Sarah McEntee iot.tutor1@armymail.mod.uk who will arrange alternative disabled parking.

4. Timings

a. 1100 – Arrival at RMC – Refreshments available

b. 1145 Graduation ceremony and closing address

c. 1300 Lunch.

d. 1400 Optional tour of RMAS

5. Tour of RMAS. For students and their guests there will be a walking tour of RMAS guided at approx.1400. The tour will depart from the Grand Entrance, Old College.

6. Dress.

a. For military or ACF guests. MTP or appropriate civilian dress.

b. For non Military or ACF Guests - smart civilian but not too formal. A dress or trousers with shoulders covered and to the knee for ladies and a collar and tie for gentlemen.

a. Note to students. Please ensure that your guests are briefed prior to your arrival at RMAS. It is unlikely that they will be able to contact you on the day for guidance. You can provide them with the guardroom telephone number (01276 412397). Children are very welcome to attend.
