Achievable Futures / Apparent Utopias
Travel into a not-so-distant, community-driven future of local, seasonal, sustainable food. A tasting menu producing zero waste and using only organic ingredients grown in the 50 miles surrounding London.
Is this the perfect food model? Is it achievable? What global, economic impact would it hold? How can we resist large, overbearing corporate interests and implement these practices - and do we want to? What would be the benefits and consequences?
The menu for the evening will be improvised, created depending on produce availability. Prepare to use your hands, mouth, mind and spirit to enter the possible future of sustainable food.
