Event description

Description

An Effective Information Sharing & Security Roundtable event:

Achieving Email Security in O365

What is this event about?

Sharing information and the means by which we do so is fundamental to our ability in the Local Public Sector to deliver services and work in joined up ways with partner organisations. Having the ability to send emails securely is of paramount importance to local public sector organisation and many of us have or are moving to O365. This roundtable event intends to look specifically at migration of secure email to O365 in the public sector. We will have the opportunity to hear from a public sector organisation that have moved secure email to O365, and to ask questions about that experience. We will also facilitate an open discussion to understand where attending delegates are at on the journey to provide secure email, to share knowledge and experience to gain collective insight. This event is hosted by Oldham Council, and chaired by iNetwork.

What's on the agenda?

Judith Barnes, Wirral Council will be talking about the experience of her organisation in achieving secure email in O365. At Wirral Council, everyone has access to Office Message Encyrption. They are in the final stages of switching off GCSX email, they have switched off Pretty Good Privacy (PGP), and have reduced their Egress usage.

Shelley Heckman, iNetwork will be chairing the event, and facilitating the group discussion. The group discussion will provide a space for everyone in the room to share where they are at on the journey to achieving email security (in O365), and to discuss in a secure space the issues, barriers and helpful tips.
