About your trainer: Bob Bosman Elst
Bob Bosman Elst graduated in 1991 as a dental technician. From the start of his career he aimed to deliver top quality work combined with a strong personal service. Bob is passionate about his work and strives for excellence! While working from his own independent dental lab in Belgium, Bob has continuously been working on expansion and developing innovative techniques for the dental industry. This is why meeting peers and sharing his experiences and expertise with others are important to Bob. Over the years, Bob participated (both as lecturer and active participant) in more than 40 master-courses including Brüsh, Tyszko, Calgaro, Adolfi, Galle, Hegenbarth, Sieber, Polansky and many more. Looking to inspire others and striving for perfection, Bob highly values the concept of “lifelong learning”.
Bob’s world-class work has been recognized by many in the field. In 2007 Bob won the '3rd Prize worldwide' (in the category 'Young Ceramics') during the world tour of Nobel Biocare in Las Vegas. He came in as the 1st European of all participants of this highly reputable event.
In the last few years, Bob has grown his passion for mentorship. Bob has set up a helpdesk for dentists covering all aspects on implant-level and porcelain. Bob is very dedicated to following up all new developments in this field.
Becoming a lecturer for GC was the logical next step for Bob. At GC, Bob has found a perfect forum to share his passion and experience. Bob looks forward to cooperating and sharing his know-how with everyone who wants to become more trained, motivated and self-critical!
Course Aims & Objectives:
Aims:
- To teach participants a step by step process for creating highly individualised Zr framework with hints and tips from design to finish using GC's Initial Zr and Painting Solutions - including the new Initial Zr Colouring Liquids.
- Enables technicians to confidently introduce their learnings immediately into their labs.
Objectives:
- Gain an understanding of the philosophy behind GC's Initial Zirconia and Painting Solutions - the material properties, indications and technical handling (firing temperatures etc)
- Learn the CAD parameters for a microlayered bridge
- Hands on characterisation at every step of bridge preparation: green state - carving and colouring liquids, post sintering - internal characterisation using Initial Lustre Paste One, Micro layering with Initial IQ One Sqin
- Share hints and tips to help avoid common pit falls and learn how to Share hints and tips to help avoid common pit falls and learn how to consistently achieve outstanding results.
- Complete a demonstration model of a 4 unit Zr bridge with gingiva (2 units completed to post sintered stage and 2 units to microlayered finish)

- Finishing and glazing 4-unit bridge with focus on soft tissue design
