Over two mornings, using the Zoom meeting platform, you will discover what it means to listen well, to yourself, to those around you and to the wider community.

This course builds on Acorn's Effective Listening Practice (module 1) to enable you in listening to, and serving, others in your community.

Attendance of Effective Listening Practice before this event is essential.

Learning Outcome:

Applied Listening Practice facilitates understanding of how to apply effective listening practice in context, in everyday life and ministry.

Aims:

• To discover more about listening in context
• To reflect upon listening as a ministry
• To understand further non-verbal communication
• To continue to practise listening skills
• To consider further the Acorn conceptual framework
• To introduce the Acorn full listening model
• To develop and practise new listening skills

Programme for the event:

(Both days)

• Teaching: 10am – 10.30am
• Break: 10.30am – 10.40am
• Teaching: 10.40am – 11.10am
• Break: 11.10am – 11.20am
• Teaching: 11.20am – 11.50am
• Break: 11.50am – 12.00pm
• Teaching: 12.00pm – 12.30pm

Please note that this training will be conducted using the Zoom meeting platform.

Prior to taking part please download the free version of Zoom onto your chosen device make sure that your speakers and microphone are working well.

After you have booked your place you will receive an email a couple of days prior to the start of the course inviting you to take part via zoom.

The cost for this two part event is £45 per person

Part 2 will take place on 19 June: 10am - 12.30pm
