Event description
ACOSVO Active Leadership programme wants to support third sector leaders to de-stress, network, share & develop all while getting healthier

About this Event

Active Leadership: Cycle

  • Do you find your best ideas come to you away from your desk?
  • Does being active gets your creative juices flowing?
  • Do you really have to be sitting round a table to be networking?

As leaders we spend so much time sitting at our desks, or in meetings, that sometime we forget that fresh air and movement feeds the mind (and body).

This event will be led by Katharine Brough, Head of Behaviour Change at Cycling Scotland, who will lead a cycle cycle in/around Glasgow.

Agenda:

14:00 – Meet on the Nextbike station, Broomielaw, Glasgow G1 4RU (station number: 8413)

14:00 - Introductory talk and cycling advice

14:10 - Cycle on off-road paths network (N75)

14:40 - Stop for refreshments at Heart of Scotstoun Community Centre

15:00 - Led ride return along canal (NCR754), roads along west end to re-join N75

16:00 - Finish at Glasgow Green. Refreshments / feedback on the ride.

16:30 - Close

The cycle will be approx. 2 hours duration, mainly off road but some on road cycling is required.

Note: Cycling is enjoyable in any weather, regardless if sunny or dreich, please remember to bring a waterproof!
