Across the Andes Winemaker Tasting
Event Information
About this Event
During the first week we’ll heading up to great heights to enjoy the Zuccardi mountain wines in Argentina. The following week we’ll be off over the Andes to enjoy the pure wines of Viña Caliterra in Chile. If you joined us for the atmospheric evening with Caliterra and Rodrigo in the vineyard last summer, please note for this tasting it’ll be the premium range of both Caliterra and Zuccardi which we’ll be experiencing.
Zuccardi is renowned for producing Pure Mountain Wines, made by Mountain People and we’ll be enjoying an evening with Zuccardi’s Sommelier and Brand Ambassador Laura Stelo at the estate on 21 January. This is a fabulous premium range of wines which truely captures the essence of the mountains from where they hail. Laura in Argentina will be virtually showing us the vineyards and winery, leading us through the Los Olivos Chardonnay, followed by the Valles Malbec and finally the much admired Apelación Cabernet Franc.
On 28 January we’ll be whisked off to Viña Caliterra, one of the first wineries in Chile to be certified sustainable. The charming and charismatic winemaker Rodrigo Zamorano will immerse us in the beauty of the vineyard and winery whilst we taste three of their premium range of wines. These distinctive wines are renowned throughout the world for displaying fabulous fresh fruit characteristics, whilst expressing the quality and pureness of Chile’s nature, terroir and fruit. The wines for this evening will be the Tributo Chardonnay, Pétreo Carmenère and the irresistible Edición Limitada “B”.
Tickets for this two week experience are £98, including delivery anywhere in the UK, bearing in mind the average retail price of these wines is £15.70 it's exceedingly good value. These really are going to be two very spoiling tastings indeed.
How do the Tastings Work?
When you place your order you’ll be emailed for your address to send the 6 wines which will arrive by 19 January. The tastings will last about an hour and you’ll be more than welcome to ask any questions.
The aim is that it’s a relaxed, fun, informal and informative evening. Please note only one order per household is required – providing of course you’re happy to share the wines and the PC screen!
